AccessibleEU event on October 29: Accessibility in the age of AI
How AI is shaping the future of digital accessibility
Join Siteimprove and partners AccessibleEU, Disability Tech Denmark, and IAAP Nordic on October 29 for an inspiring exploration of how Artificial Intelligence is transforming accessibility — highlighting both exciting opportunities in assistive technologies, automated testing, and personalization, as well as important challenges and risks.
Hosted at Aller Media in Copenhagen and streamed online, this hybrid event brings together leading experts and innovators to discuss how AI can drive empowerment and inclusion for people with disabilities.
In his keynote, Kristian Kappel, Product Director at Siteimprove, will share a compelling story of disruption — drawing parallels between groundbreaking innovations of the past and how Siteimprove is harnessing AI to advance accessibility today.
The session explores how AI expands what’s possible by helping accessibility teams automate routine tasks, scale across thousands of pages, and uncover actionable insights that were once out of reach.
Kristian will also address essential topics of trust, security, and control, showing how Siteimprove ensures its AI remains safe, validated, and user-centered—empowering teams to focus on what truly matters: creating inclusive digital experiences for everyone.
The event will be opened and closed by Tobias Christian Nyhuus Jensen, Accessibility Program Manager at Siteimprove, National Expert for the EU Commission’s AccessibleEU initiative, and Chair of the Nordic Accessibility Community Group under the W3C.
Siteimprove proudly supports the AccessibleEU Centre’s mission to promote digital inclusion and ensure that emerging technologies — including AI — work for everyone.
