Siteimprove Earns Highly Regarded International Standards Organization 27001:2022 Certification

Mar 27, 2024 - By SiteImprove

The International Standards Organization 27001:2022 (or “ISO”) accreditation demonstrates that Siteimprove meets the highest global standard for protecting customer data.

March 27, 2024 – Bellevue, WA & Copenhagen, Denmark - Siteimprove, the leading platform empowering brands to stand out with accessible, high-performing digital content experiences, today announced receiving the International Standards Organization 27001:2022 (or “ISO”) certification. The ISO certification is a well-respected information security designation that is globally recognized throughout many industries, asserting that an independent third-party certified body has assessed the effectiveness of Siteimprove’s information security measures.

The majority of Siteimprove’s customers operate in a highly regulated industry sector where they must demonstrate compliance with stringent security requirements. With large-scale data breaches and cyber-attacks often reported as part of the weekly news cycle, it was critical for Siteimprove to receive this accreditation to uphold and reinforce customer confidence that Siteimprove has a strong security posture.

"We hope that the ISO certification gives our 7,500 customers an additional level of confidence that the security of their information is our top priority," said Robbie Roberts, Chief Information Officer at Siteimprove. "Our successful ISO certification is a prime example of how we’re truly at our best when our teams across the organization work together with one goal in mind – doing what’s best for our customers."

To receive this accreditation, Siteimprove underwent a nine-month process, concluding with an extensive audit. The evaluation included comprehensive testing to validate that Siteimprove is compliant with the ISO 27001:2022 standard, covering topics such as physical security, access control, risk management, business continuity, and other security best practices. The British Assessment Bureau, an accredited certification body, conducted the independent audit and granted the ISO 27001:2022 accreditation.
